Harmony and Opposition
The Campaign for Improvement gained both support and disapproval from residents of Harrisburg. This campaign sought to create parks, eliminate waste in the river, and restore Harrisburg into a beautiful, clean city. Harmony and Opposition captures the support and disapproval of the campaign as well as the locations of gatherings, meetings, and rallies. These stories were documented by The Telegraph, Harrisburg Patriot, and Philadelphia Press newspapers from 1901 to 1902. This section is comprised of articles from the Dauphin County Historical Socity from boxes one to five of MG 025. MG 025 contains prints and publications released by the Municipal League of Harrisburg and newspaper articles.
