Harrisburg: The City Beautiful

The collections that were used for the Parks and Recreation section were found in both the Pennsylvania State Archives and the Dauphin County Historical Society. Many collections were looked through that did not pertain to this section, and many artifacts were looked through that did not prove particularly useful. The collections that were useful in the Pennsylvania State Archives included Mira Lloyd Dock's family papers, MG-43, and the J. Horace McFarland papers MG-85. The collection found at the Dauphin County Historical Society was the J. Horace McFarland collection, marked MG-229.
