Mary Sachs made many contributions to Harrisburg, but she also made many contributions nationally and internationally. The people of Harrisburg were so proud all she able to accomplish for Harrisburg as well as the world at large. The united Jewish Community in Harrisburg honored by donating the Main Auditorium to her. Some of Mary Sachs' contributions include to the United Jewish Appeal, Harrisburg Hospital, Polyclinic Hospital, Holy Spirit Hospital, Y.M.C.A, Jewish Community Center, Harrisburg Academy, and so much more (An Open Letter to the Entire Jewish Community, 1960). Harrisburg was her home and she donated so much time and energy into making it a better place for people health wise, educationally, and socially. Her work with Harrisburg Hospital and Harrisburg Academy helped to make the facilities in a Harrisburg better. She never stopped trying to improve and help the city of Harrisburg. Even as she branched out to make other contributions to the world, she never stopped trying to improve and help the city of Harrisburg.
