My Dear Daughter
I received your letter yesterday - we are all pleased that you are having such a good time, and hope it may continue during your stay. - I am sorry you did not get to the Hot Sulphur Springs when you were in the Park, but it is a half days ride from the Berthoud tap. When I rode over the Tap there was no road - only a trail - and the most peaceful [g...] I ever say. It took all my resolution to carry me through. If Frank Marshall is in Georgetown I would like for you to see him. He was my guide into the Park. George went to Broad Top on Tuesday 10 [?] and will remain until he recovers from the Malaria. I have been suffering very much from the same thing but am now much better. There is nothing anew here - I suppose Vinnie gives you all the news and gossip. No word yet from Luther. I expect them home in a week or two. Write often - give my regards to our friends. Affectionately, Father.
